All of our guests can play at the Biltmore on their 6,800-yard, 18-hole, par-71, championship golf course designed by world-renowned golf course architect Donald Ross. To book a tee time during your trip down here, visit the Biltmore Golf Concierge online above. Games are approximately $120 and you do not need to be staying at the Biltmore to play.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park

This is a really great beach at the end of Key Biscayne which is perfect for a relaxing beach day. It's not as crowded as South Beach, or as trendy, but if you want a quiet day, this is the place. It's actually our favorite beach in Miami, plus it has a really cool lighthouse. There is a minimal entry fee (a couple dollars). Chair and umbrella rental is pretty reasonable too, in the $20 range for two chairs and an umbrella.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens
http://www.fairchildgarden.org/

This is an amazing garden founded by David Fairchild who travelled the world at the turn of the century collecting exotic tropical plants and bringing them all back to Miami. The garden is almost 100 acres and is really fun to explore on foot or take the tram tour. January is a great time to visit as the weather is perfect. Bring lunch and have a picnic! The admission fee is $20 for adults, $10 for kids 5 and up, and free for kids under the age of 5.

Coconut Grove

This neighborhood is very close to where our wedding is taking place and is a very cool place to walk around, eat, and shop for an afternoon. Some of our favorite restaurants, like Le Bouchon du Grove or Green Street Cafe, are also located here. Both restaurants are great places to eat in the morning, with tables outside. There is also a great park on the waterfront by the marinas to walk along.

The Florida Everglades

http://www.nps.gov/ever/

The Everglades are an amazing place to visit and take a guided airboat ride to look at wildlife and explore. January is the perfect time to visit because the weather is cool. A visit here will definitely take a whole day between the drive out there and spending time exploring, so make sure you leave enough time to do it all. If you would like more information and details about visiting here, contact us!

South Beach

http://web.miamibeachfl.gov/

The famous and super cool South Beach. A great place to shop, eat, go out, swim, you name it. The Lincoln Road pedestrian mall between Lenox and Washington is a good place to shop and explore. A great beach to avoid the crowds is the one by Smith and Wolenski's Steak House, at the southern tip of Miami Beach. Another great tip is to visit a hotel, like The Delano, valet your car, and just walk in and pretend like you're visiting someone who is staying there, and then use the hotel's beach! Make sure you bring chairs and umbrellas if you want them though, as rentals for two chairs and one umbrella here run in the $100/day range.

The Florida Keys and Key West

http://fla-keys.com/

The drive south through the Keys towards Key West is probably one of the prettiest drives you will ever take. It takes about 3-4 hours to get down there but it is totally worth it. Key West is an amazing, unique, laid back place to visit. Unfortunately, winter is not the best time to snorkel as the water is slightly cloudy, but it is still definitely something you should try. We both recommend taking an extra two to three days if you can, driving down here, staying at a small B&B close to Duval Street (the big main street down there), and just having fun.
